PMM Files #170 - Positioning For the Top 1%, The Hero that Lets You Drive and The New Way of Practice Management

Read Time: 3.6 minutes

Thanks for reading PMM Files. A newsletter where we share five cool product marketing examples we found last week.

Let's get to it...

Work with DemoDash, get 25% off Navattic

Starting to look at interactive demo platforms? Kickstart your demo project with DemoDash and get 25% off your Navattic subscription (Base and Growth Plans) β€” for life!

→ Let's talk

Example #1 - The Aha! Hero Demo

Potential buyers want to see, touch, and play with your product before they buy.

Weave inserted a whole interactive product experience in their hero to let visitors do just that. It feels like they took the dashboard experience from their SaaS product and embedded it as a widget right in their hero.

But not the whole product, just one of the key features that creates an "Aha!" moment. In seconds, buyers understand what they can do with the product and want to learn more.

Example #2 - Get a Demo When You're Ready

To see a product demo, you typically need to book a sales call. But what if you aren't ready to talk to sales?

Atlan built something else. A live demo webinar series that you can join without speaking to a rep.

Right in the nav, you're presented with an option to "See the context layer, built live."

Instead of forcing the entrance to a sales cycle, buyers get the chance to see the product in action, ask questions, and leave. Once they're ready to buy, they enter the cycle more informed and with higher intent.

Example #3 - The New Way of Practice Management

Qount executed this old way, new way section on their website perfectly.

First, a strong headline that grounds the key difference between the status quo and Qount: backward-looking to forward-looking.

Then, a simple side-by-side chart. Traditional practice management is manual, task-tracking-centric, and slow. With Qount, it becomes connected, proactive, and intelligent.

Bonus points for the great images that tie everything together.

Example #4 - Positioning For the Top 1%

Valley does an awesome job positioning itself against the status quo of LinkedIn outbound.

The Status Quo: Use Sales Navigator, Clay, ChatGPT, and HeyReach at ~$750/month to only get a 2% reply rate πŸ‘Ž

But Valley promises it can replace that entire stack and multiply the results many times over. I love how specific and numbers-focused the claim is. πŸ‘

Then, they break down how Valley works β†’ find leads, qualify and enrich, research and personalize, and message on LinkedIn.

Hard to find a differentiation section this tight.

→ See what differentiates Valley

Example #5 - Maximize Homepage Real Estate for Launch

When Buffer launched its API, they didn't just drop a small eyebrow or a thin announcement bar on their homepage. They put a big, chunky banner front and center, stating Buffer API is here (and not much else).

Click the CTA and you're sent to a beautiful launch page that stands out in its own right.

Your homepage is the highest-traffic real estate you have on launch day. Most teams underuse it. Buffer shows how going bigger and using more real estate helps draw visitors in.
