PMM Files #136 - Demo From a 5th Grader, Influencer Content Done Right, and An Affiliate Page That Prints Money

Read Time: 3.8 minutes

Thanks for reading PMM Files. A newsletter where we share five cool product marketing examples we found last week.

Let's get to it...

Supported By: The PMM Jetpack

What's the #1 Challenge for PMMs?

Lack of resources — time, budget, team.

The PMM Jetpack delivers real playbooks, templates, and examples to level up your work, no matter what you’re working with.

Example #1 – Demo From a 5th Grader

Lovable could’ve just said their product is “easy to use.

Instead, they proved it with a 10-year-old.

This video features Teo, a kid building an AI-powered app in real time. No fancy edits. No hand-holding. Just Lovable’s founding engineer and a curious child writing prompts.

It’s the perfect “show, don’t tell” moment.

→ If Teo can do it, so can you

Example #2 - A Demo CTA That Actually Sells

Most CTAs are predictable afterthoughts. “Book a demo.” “Talk to sales.” “Get started.”

Snooze.

Incident.io breaks that mold. They lay out what you’ll actually get from a demo and who you’ll be talking to (faces included).

Sometimes, a little more information goes a long way.

→ See Incident's CTA in action

Example #3 - AI Use Cases Done Right

One of the biggest challenges with AI adoption? Knowing what to use it for.

In their homepage hero, Quin skips the vague “AI can do anything!” spiel and shows six real ways you’ll use it.

Each use case is simple, visual, and demonstrated on a mobile device 🤳

You don’t have to connect the dots, Quin does it for you.

Example #4 - The New Standard for Influencer Content

Considering influencer marketing?

This Clay promo video from Will Aitken is a blueprint for what your sponsored videos should look like.

He keeps it simple and easy-to-understand, while digging into real use cases and examples. It could double as a demo or explainer video for early prospects.

He also keeps it light hearted, funny, dare I say, entertaining?

He even calls out the fact that it's sponsored, "but not shit." A human touch that builds trust.

Example #5 - An Affiliate Page That Prints Money

Submagic nails their affiliate landing page:

✅ Lifetime revenue share (a clear differentiator) is the focus in their hero, with the title "Earn money for life." They even have a handy slider letting you quickly calculate what you can earn.

✅ They give crystal-clear steps on how to start.

✅ They clearly define who the program is for.

✅ They provide lots of content examples as inspiration (and proof).

✅ They show plenty of testimonials from successful affiliates.

It's a killer formula. One I may be stealing... 😉

Never Start From Scratch Again

Product marketers like Sharon use the PMM Jetpack to skip the hard parts of building a PMM function from the ground up.

In a day, she was able to launch a complete internal app to manage and share her enablement content. It not only "wowed" her sales and CS teams — but her executive team too!

And that's only one of the dozens of templates that will help you build and automate parts of your product marketing function.

Stop staring at a blank page. Get every resource you need for your next launch, campaign, messaging project, and more.
