PMM Files #133 โ€“ Selling the Future, Pitch vs Proof, and Making The Switch Feel Easy

Read Time: 3.8 minutes

Thanks for reading PMM Files. A newsletter where we share five cool product marketing examples we found last week.

Let's get to it...

Supported By: The PMM Jetpack

What's the #1 Challenge for PMMs?

Lack of resources โ€” time, budget, team.

The PMM Jetpack delivers real playbooks, templates, and examples to level up your work, no matter what youโ€™re working with.

Example #1 - Show Buyers โ€œHow it Worksโ€

Ownerโ€™s "How It Works" page is simple, clear, and featured right in their main nav ๐Ÿ‘Œ

A short explainer video sets the stage. Then, four quick steps show exactly how the product works.

Each step reads like a natural evolution of the one before it. Like a journey the customer would go through using their product.

The only thing missing? A light interactive demo to explore each part.

Example #2 - Make the Switch Feel Easy

Archy gives us a great example of buyer enablement with their โ€œConvert to Archyโ€ page.

It walks through five clear steps for moving to Archy from one of their competitors. A process most buyers might worry is too complicated.

Each step is visual, short, and written in plain language. You instantly see what to expect before signing on, making the process feel more doable.

Whether you make it easy or not, buyers are comparing you to what they use today. Archy leans in, making that evaluation and switch feel a lot easier.

Example #3 - Outcome-First Messaging

Blync AIโ€™s hero leads with the outcome, and here's why that works:

  • Their promise of "add extra $$$ to every order automatically" is specific enough that you instantly get what the product does.
    โ€‹
  • The H2 immediately fills in the blanks: "Blync helps you boost cart value and maximize revenue per visitor by creating post-purchase funnels that convert without a hitch."

It's a great example of how specific, immediate benefits are much more powerful than distant benefits like "increase revenue and ROI."

Example #4 - How To Sell the Future

Brainfish found a smart way to balance selling what's on the shelf vs selling the future.

Their homepage focuses on whatโ€™s available today, but a small toggle in the nav flips the site to a secret mode: Where Weโ€™re Headed.

Itโ€™s a clever way to show both the present and the future. Speaking to investors and analysts, while keeping your customers and sales team grounded in reality.

โ€‹โ†’ Take a look into the future ๐Ÿ”ฎโ€‹

โ€‹

Example #5 - Show Proof Beside the Pitch

Momentix does a great job weaving customer evidence directly into their feature and benefits section.

Each feature isnโ€™t just explained, itโ€™s proven.

On the right, they show how real customers use the product, paired with a data point, a quote, and a link to the full case study.

This approach turns a standard feature block into a powerful 1-2 punch that sells itself.

Never Start From Scratch Again

Product marketers like Emily use the PMM Jetpack to skip the unnecessary parts of building a PMM function from the ground up.

"The launch playbook is a prime example. I spent HOURS creating one, that didn't quite do what I wanted. One click in The Jetpack โ€” boom, done. Simply incredible!"

Stop staring at a blank page. Get every resource you need for your next launch, campaign, messaging project, and more.
