PMM Files #121 – Generous Pricing, Changing Market Perception, and the Immersive Hero Demo

Read Time: 3.7 minutes

Thanks for reading PMM Files. A newsletter where we share five cool product marketing examples we found last week.

Let's get to it...

Supported By: Logan PMM

Most B2B product pages kinda suck.

But they really matter. They’re often your most-visited page by high-intent visitors, and small improvements can boost conversions. My friend and fellow PMM Logan Hendrickson made a free product page checklist to help you quickly uplevel yours. Grab itβ€”it’s worth it.

Example #1 - "Generous" Pricing

Count’s pricing calculator makes complex pricing, for a complex product, feel simple.

You can self-select the right tier by team size and use case β€” and instantly see which features you get πŸ’₯

But the real standout is the philosophy behind it. Their Head of PMM calls it β€œgenerous pricing.” He explains it in this LinkedIn post.

Instead of squeezing for revenue, they focused on fairness, transparency, and making upgrades easier to sell internally.

Example #2 - Change How Your Market Thinks 🧠

Twin has a tough task ahead of them. Change the market's mindset around how AI Agents should work.

This section on their homepage introduces a "New Paradigm for Automation" and attempts to reframe the AI Agent status quo.

No APIs. No brittle RPA scripts. No patchwork workflows.

It ties to their positioning, but also feels like a subtle manifesto.

→ Does this change your mind?

Example #3 - This Hero IS the Demo

Not everyone can pull this off, but damn it’s good.

Napkin’s hero IS a product demo.

Instead of telling you what their product does, they SHOW you.

The copy "Get visuals from your text" literally becomes the demo. You see text turn into visuals right before your eyes πŸ‘€

You instantly understand the value explained in their hero copy, which is short and easy to grasp: "Napkin turns your text into visuals so sharing your ideas is quick and effective."

→ Can you pull off a hero like this?

Example #4 - Penny Drop Goes Interactive

Stigg takes the classic penny drop image and makes it interactive.

Instead of a static diagram, you get a clickable experience linking you to relevant product pages.

It’s part explanation, part exploration.

I love how it turns β€œhow it works” into β€œwhere to go next.”

Example #5 - A Bright Manifesto πŸ’‘

Light delivers a textbook manifesto for rethinking ERP.

They start by making the case that ERP is a relic β€” bloated, broken, and built for a world that no longer exists.

Then they introduce a new category: the Smart Financial Platform (SFP), built for modern, global service companies.

It’s a clever reframe and a bold rallying cry to push back against a legacy market.

→ Try not to get blinded by this manifesto

PMM should own the product pages on your website. Make sure they are good.

My friend Logan used to run PMM at startups from $1M – $50M ARR and now he consults on Messaging and GTM projects.

In his checklist, you won’t find:

❌ Generic templates
❌ Cookie-cutter layout designs
❌ Recycled and non-relevant examples
❌ ChatGPT advice

You will find a section-by-section guide for building awesome pages:

βœ… Hero
βœ… Social Proof
βœ… Problem
βœ… Feature
βœ… and more...

He’s helped build the pages for a bunch of awesome SaaS companies and gives away his approach in this free resource.
